Although I don't understand how had you managed to miss 3 turns (I just looked at my mail, all the turns were done before the time-out), I think you should wait with switching to AI.
3 turns in the beginning are not deadly at all, actually, your losses're equal to 1 random bad event (btw, I've already had one in that game
). And as for R'lyeh — it's very risky to siege someone's capital at the first turns.
So, maybe others have some small edge atm, but everything may change, cause diplomacy is allowed in this game.
