Well that's the thing, no one complained.

(I personally actually care more for such observations, than other arbitrary "holidays", but meh)
Unfortunately for the rest of the world though, the 4th of July is a really big deal in the US. We have to take the chance to celebrate ending the oppression of our British masters, so that we could turn our attention back to oppressing the original inhabitants of this wondrous continent.
So now I guess we're kind of conflicted about the whole thing..... Instead of just throwing a party, we feel compelled to blow things up. My therapist says we were traumatized, and until we understand our buried feelings for our abusive father, we'll continue to take out our aggressions on less advantaged nations.
