I think that if you separated the maps & mods forum that you would be disappointed. Many folks would have never paid any attention to some of the great mods and maps available if they were in their own forums. Typically when I buy a game I tend to avoid things that change the core game. This is not always the case with dominions mods, but I would have missed out on some great stuff.
