Actually, that depends on your location in the state as well. In the western, flatter areas of the state it gets pretty <bleep> hot in the summer, too, and there's lots of humidity to go with it. Which is worse? 100 degrees in the desert or 100 degrees in the swamp? But do you also have winters that can go 20 below zero in Arizona? I don't think so. In the eastern, especially northeastern parts of the state you get lake effect which means tons of snow in the winter and pretty much continual cloudiness even when something isn't falling. Most people probably know that the worst place in the country for lake effect snow is Buffalo, NY at the end of Lake Erie. Well, Pittsburgh and Cleveland aren't far behind.
