Ah ha, I figured out how to hide warp points.
Yep, just place them in a nebulae system and set the abilities to what ever level you feel would be appropriate to have the point discovered. You can do the same with planets, ie: hidden ring and sphere worlds.
Yes, now I can resume my alternate dimension latice of warp points and secret derelict ancient planets.
