Do you think satellites deployed from a planet work that well? The Last time I used them, it seemed like the sateliites were always on the wrong side of the planet from where their fleet attacked.
Yeah I don't use satellites for planet defense either. I have found, however, that they are great for warp point defense, especially if you give them some nasty weapons like Null Space.
