Re: Darwin: EA/CBM/VP/hard resrch/Antilarium
I once had a player not send me 10 gems they owed me for several turns. we had a NAP during this time. I declared war on him, but still followed the NAP. Of course, now he isn't ever giving me my gems, because we're at war. Still, I insisted that he should send me the gems, since he had "forgotten" for several turns before war was declared.
I think people exploit the system sometimes, play dirty; a sort of dark diplomacy. There are rules in light diplomacy, and dark diplomacy exploits them. Dark diplomacy will also exploit the game-real life interaction; just another part of playing dirty. Some people cry foul, claim people are cheating, lying ect. Modern Game Theory says that the cheating and playing dirty simply become another aspect of the game; the game-real life interaction that is exploited is actually only another aspect of the game. What is game and what is life become blurred, there is no real boundary. Good stuff, that Modern Game Theory; has some interesting inferences, given the above points.
