ok, uploaded the gif, copy/paste into the url thingy at profile at the new avatar at the bottoml. selected 'use this avatar' or somesuch. nothing happening (boy do I feel newbie again )

If you uploaded it onto the upload section on the. You'll notice on the URL code that it gives you, it'll have [ URL= whatever.com/whatever.gif ] [/ url ] (But without the spaces) to get it to work you'll have to take off the "URL=" and the "/URL" that way it only shows "http://www.shrapnelgames.com/whateveryourimgfilenameis.gif"... Doing that SHOULD make it work. If not then uhh I don't know...
