Good day,
I have found some players seem to get a wrapped up in whether a unit is killed or not.
In Mobile Warfare suppression of men can be just as useful as kills, especially if the units are not sitting on the objectives. Even in Armies with good training and morale etc, units that break down beyond certain suppression tend not to recover quick enough to be of any bother, they are too busy retreating/routing. Killing off squads of men slows down your mobile force.
All this being said in the PTO vs the Japanese Army this rule of thumb doesn't work near as well.
Bob out
