On a side note, if you are looking for a Crystalline race to play against, you might try out the Tylmai. I believe that they are on the Gold CD in the Universal Shipyards shipset pack, or you can get it directly from Universal Shipyards.
I don't know if they are terribly aggressive, but they should build up pretty well, and might give you a few surprises.
