And please don't quote Wikipedia find a "real" source

For the record Wiki rates the 155mm gun M2 with a range of 23,221 m (25,395 yds) and the 8 inch howitzer with a range or 16,800 m (18,373 yds)

so if you use Wiki the 155 outranges the 8 inch by just over 7000 yards

so if you have a source that shows it's the other way 'round please do share it with us
