To sell a formation, go into
Expand Core in the Repair Screen. Click on any formation on the right side of the screen and you will get a message that asks if you want to delete that formation. Just enter
Y or
N.
You can't sell any single unit out of a formation if the formation has more than one unit in it, i.e. you can't make a 5-tank platoon a 4-tank platoon by selling one tank. If it only has one unit, you are effectively selling the formation.
