As Armageddon was spammed in Kingmaker, I did some tests with it. Average damage is probably around 15, like vfb says, but it can be over 20 too, so there must be some random roll involved [it can be below 10 too]. Protection and Luck help against it. Fire plate makes a huge difference [fire plate on Ktonian Necromancers reduces mortality rate by about 75%]. Defense, stealth, ethereality do not help. And all that killing is very random. You may lose 9/10 guys in 1 province and 0/10 in 2nd.
