Outdated, but not poorly equiped, the japanese soldier was prepared to fight in the jungle, while all others were not, maybe that's the cause of the early victories in the pacific, the tide turned in midway(look, there are 3 fleet carriers sinking
), the japanese lost air advantage, and their supply was a thin line, you want to fight the japanese?get lots of artillery and air strikes, drop big shells over them as air strikes demolish their forces(once the TBF/M becomes avaiable), when they're pinned by the 16inchers shoot'em up, but never hop on a place you can't defend, because 1 turn the japs are screaming as big shells land on their heads, the other turn, BANZAI! they recover and charge your troops
