Crashes when I set number of turns
I have just downloaded WinSPWW2 to my Inspiron-8000, WinMe O/S, plenty of space and memory. In fact I only use this machine for PC games (have SPMBT, PG2 & SPWAW as well) as well and have no other programs on this. I had been playing the SPWW2v7.01 but that began to freeze/crash regularly. I have uninstalled it.
So far in my limited experience with this new Windows version I have uncovered a complete freeze when I go into the "map" window and attempt to reset the number of turns. While I can type in any number (literally) I can access nothing else in that window, nor can I get out of it without alt-con-deleting. I then have to re-start the computer because the game will not come up again. If I do not when I hit the WinSPWW2 icon the opening little square appears, I click on "Play" and the window closes and nothing happens. The game will not reappear until I have restarted.
I have turned the mouse interface click to "off" and turned off the sound. It still freezes.
