yeah, you got some vp for controlling the norwegian sea (or whatever), or perhaps the axis got vp for interdicting it... hard to remember exactly
Warsaw pact alt history probably does have less appeal now; esp. as really their capabilities were so much lower than NATO's (see: Yak-38, lol).
WWII med would seem to offer the tightest battle, given Axis land-based air, and possible historical variants, such as bringing Spain or Turkey in.
