If I add another tank company and infantry company after a decisive victory with (let's say) 500 extra points by expanding my core, am I going to face another 500 (more or less depending on mission type) points of enemy troops? Thanks in advance.
Of course the AI will field a correspondingly larger force. It will do that even if you never buy any support or additional core, since your core's value will go up as their experience grows.

AI points = ((Your core's value) + Any support points you spend) * battle type multiplier

And also, in campaigns - AI Points = AI Points * the INI file multiplier
(If you set the AIAdjustPercent modifier in CamoGame.Ini away from the default 100)
