I have found most players prefer to just play PBeM among themselves or against the AI. Most tournaments, etc involve long term committments and many end up having RL issues interfere, myself included.
I really wish there was a way to "export" an OOB after a battle so they could be imported into another subsequent battle but that would probably open up another avenue of players being able to exploit PBeM games.
