Wrong on all four counts actually. Georgian T-72s, backed by artillery and SU-25s were used in the initial attack on Tskhinvali.
In case you missed it in the "big bad russians raping poor little Georgia" noise it was the deliberate georgian all out assault against the Ossestia capital which started the high intensity part of the war.

You can see from the above they even have a couple of dedicated artillery brigades for example. And incidentally they had no qualms about using them against populated urban areas.

Listen, "smack down" is for childish games NOT for messing around in the an other nuclear power backyard. That's why the "smack them down" crowd who think they have everything figured out are not put in charge of such decisions.

Frankly the russians are no saints but these rants about how the big bad evil russians are always doing dastardly deeds against poor little innocents and how great things would be if the US just bombed a lot of them are better left for certain others websites...
