Sub is required not because Marignon is in awful position (as it usually is), just because a player doesn't have enough time to devote to the game.
Position is not winning but it is there for a very long time. Marignon is engaged into a long-long war with Ulm and basically (from what I observe) is winning. Medium-sized empire with peaceful relations with other neighbours and quite far from main battle arenas. I think it is an adequate description.
