I'm pretty sure Lightless Lanterns got a bonus for returning from the void in that patch update.

Oh bugger! I just threw out all my lanterns a few turns back when I maxxed research, and I've got Kings trying to summon out of R'lyehs Void Gate. I should have kept a few.

Anyway, I like these weird little thematic quirks.
