"mymallocs" perhaps? Those of us who write C code often end up wrapping the standard "malloc" routine or writing our own, depending on our needs. Probably this is JK's custom version of malloc. malloc is used for memory allocation of data arrays and objects. (It probably stands for "memory allocator".)
Having too many mallocs means you're out of memory.
