Interesting factoid about S9/Twist Fate: mathematically speaking, it is exactly as effective on average as Glamour in preventing hits.
Twist Fate: 100% chance of negating one hit, 0% chance of negating two or more hits.
Glamour/Mirror Image (1 image): 50% chance of negating one hit, 25% chance of negating two hits, 12.5% chance of negating three hits, etc. On average this works out to preventing one hit, probabilistically speaking.
Of course Glamour also makes you impossible to see in friendly lands, but then again Twist Fate protects you against spells/arrows, which IMHO is better.
So buying S9 is kind of like turning all of your sacreds into Vanir. (Plus, it lets you mostly protect your mages from remote spells by forging a Shroud.)
