I love those moments! It's so much fun (as well as argivating) to see your hinge pin, your keystone, you most critical unit to a defence or attack fail and leave you with a bunch of pieces that you now have to use to stop the enemy at all costs. Those are the moments you really learn how to play. Granted, playing against a bunch of guys that don't supress, don't run and don't miss would take some skill.
As Esme Weatherwax says in Pratchett's
Witches Abroad, "If you play Cripple Mr. Onion with someone that was a detached retina in her second-sight, you learn to play fast!" Or translated for non-pratchett fans, pretend you learned to play pocker with someone that could look over your shoulder in the future. At that point, bluffing doesn't work, you've got to "Get 'er done!"
