The B5 mod is still in testing/development. PDF did an excellent job of making the B5 MOD Gold compatible but even that is NOT feature complete yet. As PDF said the Shadows are a special race (known in the TV show as "Ancients"). They have certain tech advances over the "Younger" races but don't have as strong a reproductive capacity.
