Hey Q, even though you got your avatar to work now, I thought I'd let ya know how to convert a .bmp into a .gif. First of all open your .bmp image into whatever image editor you have, then go to Save As, then name it, and select the save as type to .gif, or ,jpg or whatever you're wanting to convert it to. It's simple as that, hope that helps for future use.
