Default Re: The Early Days. Game running.

Well, tir na nog is on its way out. The army of moose holding my capitol walls up will only be able to keep lanka out for so long, and then my cap is going down. Given what I've seen, he is still by far in the best position to win. I urge you all to continue fighting the lankan behemoth, lest it claim you as well. If lanka can drop in on another unsuspecting person and gobble them up, I don't think there'll be any hope of stopping them before they can take the few more capitols they need to win.

On a side note, this map has some serious issues. The entire western portion of the map (mine, niefel's and mictlan's territories) were cash starved to the point of absurdity. Even with one of the largest nations in the game, my income was so poor I could barely afford 2 mages on the best of turns, and for much of the game I could only afford to buy one mage a turn - and that was it. The vast majority of my units are moose, and have been since the war with niefelheim where I lost the vast majority of my tuatha. And it's not like I'm playing with really crappy scales either.

Meanwhile every province I've taken from ulm and lanka has 8000 plus population. I know with ulm this is partly because of his growth scale, but given the size of his nation and what his income used to be, I'm pretty sure that was not all of it.
