Struck without warning!? What are your priests doing in your cathedrals? Singing hymns and chasing the nuns? What did you think we meant by our proclamation that "the unauthorised temple Marignon built on our border will be destroyed"?
We do admit that we vastly underestimated the strength our your knights. But our spiders revel in the glory of battle, and our riders have no fear of death, for they know thier spirit lives on in their eight-legged companion. Our departure from the battlefield was, er ... um ... a fearless charge into the face of the enemy, except we went the wrong way by mistake.
