I already checked anyway, and WinRar isn't set to automatically open any .trn files...it reads that .trn as a .zip file and it IS indeed a compressed file, because I can extract a working .trn file from it.

Sounds like http compression is not automatically decompressing. IIS and IE can do this (two M$ products working together!). Try Firefox and see if you have the same results. Depending on where you live even your government recommends not using IE.
