I'd go straightway and permanently delete all emails in your delete folder (if you use outlook or something like it).

Marketing guy here was canned. The pres. of the company then went through his email box and the deleted ones as well. Pres then got pissed at much of the remaining office at things they'd written to the now canned VP.

Not unless you want them to know you think he/she is a dick.
