I would have thought that the CFO and VP of Ops (god you americans have some silly business titles) would be narked off by now being the CEO's hatchet boys..

I reccomend you wait until lunch has your bowels moving, sneak into the CEO's room and leave a message in his filing cabinet

Honest to god, someone at one of my old firms did that. Several people were made redundant and left on the same day. One obviously had a grudge against the HR Director and left a rather large dark brown but beautifully shaped jobby in his filing cabinet- the resulting scream when the HR director found it was an absolute joy, such range, such timbre.

It had also been in said filing cabinet over the weekend and absolutely stunk
