Re: Preponderance 2 [epic team game returns!]
I was recently asked to clarify my position on the various house rules to be enforced in this game. In the interest of transparency, I decided to just enumerate all the points here for everyone to see:
Bogus orders - "Bogus" is understood to mean the group of indy units which attack your prov in response to the Bogus event. If these units are captured by a player, their special (very dangerous) orders cannot be copied and transferred to any other unit you control
Sickle farming - Most simply, you cannot contrive to use the Sickle only as a gem-generator. Its gems must be generated as a side effect of direct combat in uncontrolled situations against a legitimate, resisting enemy. Usage on indies is acceptable, so long as you make a serious effort to capture the province.
lab filling - You cannot send items to another player with the explicit purpose of filling up their lab which would, in turn, prevent them from forging any items that turn.
undead mages/priests - Life After Death allows the conversion of expensive mages and priests to upkeep-free undead. This spell can thus only be used under the same conditions as you might use the Sickle.
giving up without fight - This rule is generally intended to keep players from handing over their territory to a 3rd party in order to prevent its capture by enemy forces. Since players often have to sacrifice territory to defend other key locations its hard to prove this. So, I will only say that each player must do their best to defend every province they control with the resources they have.
staling - I assume this means intentionally staling to disrupt the game. Again, hard to prove.
not talking to your teammate - self explanatory
revealing IDs - self explanatory
Everyone feel free to comment on what I've written above if you dont like something or want further clarification. These are only my personal ideas - whatever you decide on communally is what I will enforce in the game...
