In the old turn 16, I had surprised Mictlan with archer units in the two provinces he was attacking, inflicting heavy losses (many jaguar warriors, a priest king).
In the new turn 16, he avoided attacking one province, instead reinforcing his own defenses with mercenaries, and rejigged his orders in the other province specifically to deal with the archer threat he now knew about (decoys, Fire Archers orders). As a result he was successful in his attack and avoided many casualties that he would have suffered in the other.
I am really disappointed in this unsporting behavior. I don't mind losing (putting up a spirited resistance is fun too), but I prefer to lose fair and square.
