Apparently - you will need to tell windows 7 to allow you privileges to write to program files (Where every other version of Windows puts its files - but not vista or W7, naturally!) - otherwise it seems to squirrel your data files away in this virtual store (and the files will not be visible in save or open file dialogues within programmes - just in the explorer window, if you remember to click that button?).
