The thing is the main attraction of this game is the war bit, creating and commanding armies and fighting battles with them. It is not sim city where you need to build up your town and its not the sims where you tell all the soldiers where and when to go to the loo. You canno't have everything in a game since it is going to become too deep and too complex(not that Dominions isn't)But imagine having to focus on building up your forts with buildings and then having to feed every soldier and all other aspects that you can put into the game. It will just be too much.
