When UAV’s are flying over enemy territory and then having a direct Line-of-sight (LOS) to some enemy units, what will be the “correct” unit to call a fire mission in order to use the advantage of LOS?
By “correct” unit I mean any FO unit, any leader (“0”) or a specific FO/leader within the chain of command regarding to the UAV.
UAVs (the spotter plane class) are not arty Forward Observers. They are merely an off-map air reconnaissance asset. There is no way to select one and plot a fire mission by it, is there?.

So, if anything is spotted by a recce pass (or any other asset) then use the best FOO (vehicle, foot or light helicopter). Best would be one that had LOS - say due to a GSR.

If no LOS exists, the one with the quickest call time is as good as any.

Andy.
