When you do get a chance to open the game up you will discover that your memory is faulty and these guns
ARE NOT out of service in the game in 1966 but stay in service until the end of 1998 and I would ask EVERYONE who reads this who might consider making OOB suggestions to PLEASE check the game BEFORE running to the forums and relying on your memory
