AMD XP 1800+ 512mb ram ddr 2100 cas 2, w2k sp3 hd 60gb ibm deskstar gforce4
ti 4400 sblive cable modem, mt sony 17'' g220.

The enemy (AI)have a fleet of 378 ships. Mine is 289.
This crash (at end of battle), tactical or strategic.

In my computer the complete battle took over about 30min in strategic.
auto tactical around 5 hours.......
