no proof of newer Chinese tanks, though China has been a major supplier of ammunition and light weapons. The Ukrainian T-72 tanks are
confirmed, with the one pictured looking like the T-72M1 if I was to make the call. This would back the Amnesty Report as well. The PDF report is very detailed to the groups involved, manning, weapons, AOO and logistics etc. These are from April 2012. Amnesty report and BBC article of previous post were from June 2012.
