They have been like that for years..... NOT just since this release which is V6 NOT V7
I will place this on the list for review but the repercussions in existing sceanrios and campaigns can cause 10x the work removing a unit just because it happens to have an extra rifle..... so when I take something out it's usually because of something substantial
