Re: RoundHammer: Normandy 1943
Actually, there are two places where you can land your vehicles so that they can advance inland without getting stuck. However, I am not at home at the moment, so cannot check the exact coordinates for those hexes. But you can locate them yourself with the following tips:
- vehicles risk getting stuck when entering mud hexes, but not when exiting them
- vehicles getting unloaded from a barge into a mud hex do not have a risk of getting stuck in that hex (at least in the current version)
- therefore, try unloading your vehicles into those two mud hexes that are adjacent to clear hexes, and then move them to clear hexes on their first move
That said, concentrating all of your vehicle landings into one or two single spots can be a bit risky, in case the enemy decides to shell those landing areas with mortars or artillery.
BTW for Gila: Roundhammer campaign takes place in Normandy in July-August 1943, not in June 1944 like the historical campaign.
