I've got an idea. What if instead of a core that travels with one as one goes through a campaign, refitting and upgrading etc, but a campaign that uses only support units?

My idea is this-with the possible victory results, ie. victory or loss, one would be directed to a different force provided, based on the success of the last battle. A loss would possibly mean a smaller force the next battle, or a larger sized enemy force, or even, a more difficult challenge (of unknown specifications).
