On the battle purchase screen there is a button marked "View Map", below the buy mines/DT button and above the encyclopaedia button. Description is in the Game Guide section "View Map Screen".

Change parameters like length and visibility, respin or manually place the V-hexes, respin the map etc to your hearts desire.
