I seem to recall in an earlier incarnation of SP that one could have the application create and update a text file of the firing resolutions; type of weapon fired, damage inflicted, etc.

For our purposes one can replay their opponent's turn in order to read about the types of weapons they fired.

That has never been a feature of the original SP game, nor ours.
