Fallout Re: MBT's

We did some work to bring these "Up to Speed" a few years back.

I have to do some rechecking but, I thought I read somewhere in the deluge of refs that the UK was going to supply these also besides this Crowd Funding effort.

I don't think they've been used in combat since Iraq/Afghanistan now maybe in the Ukraine I'm just going to pull one item from the ref.
"It holds the Guinness world record for the fastest production tank with its Diesel engine, recorded doing 82.23 km/h (51.10 mph) at the QinetiQ vehicle test track, Chertsey, Surrey, on 26 January 2002. (The original Jaguar engine enabled the vehicle to reach 100+ km/h!)." Irelands are apparently more powerful and reliable with a different engine. https://www.armyrecognition.com/defe..._vehicles.html

Also, the Scorpion FV101 CVRT is being brought up again from earlier posts I've seen. The last version the British Army operated was the SCORPION 3. All were retired in 1994. A couple of other countries still operate them.

I'm going to see if SIPRI has released their 2022 arms transfer list yet, like us they've pushed back their normal release date as well.

If I find something there, I'll post it. If not I'm sure, you'll figure out which 2 options prevented me from doing so.

0550 EDIT: SIPRI is updated through 2022. The above are not included when I checked Suppliers UK and Others (Which include Crowd Funding & similar.) and Recipient Ukraine. There is actually a Crowd Funded Equipment exchange shown. Back to bed for 4 more hours.

Regards,
Pat
