Say, I'm currently playing a play by email game a friend is running. We play Version SE4 Gold ver. 1.67. I'd like to upgrade to the next patch, but I don't know when. Should the upgrade happen at any time, before his turn (he's player 1), before mine (I'm player 2), before he processes the AI turns, or will this never be allowed.
I'm pretty sure we both have to upgrade to play against each other, but when should each of us do it so the next turn gets processed?
