Hi,
just fired up a quick testgame, Russians with Czechoslovakian support units.
The units ID tag seems to be that of 'Red', not Czechoslovakian, and the Weapons Encyclopedia shows 'Russia'.
As for you second question: I haven't played any campaigns yet...
