Been awhile since I looked at
ORNX for Russian losses in the Ukraine.
However, looking at the data we can see the following...
1. We now have a more complete picture of which
older tanks have reached the battlefield which the last time I looked at it and posted didn't have more than handful listed (
T-55 mostly).
2. It is also
very clear of the
more modern tanks that the
T-72B3 and
T-80 (Including the updated versions for both.) represent the "
backbone" of their tank force.
3. All the reporting on the fact that Russia was producing large amounts of the
T-90 tanks (In particular the
T-90M) seem to have been
exaggerated because the losses have increased since last viewed but, not by not much as the losses of the type has not gone up
significantly over time. This does make sense if you've been following the state of Russia's ability to produce the more modern tanks due to the sanctions imposed on them since the war broke out.
4. What also stands out is the there are currently
500 tanks they couldn't verify by type.
5. What's missing is the
T-14 in any category they track. It's as of this writing, that sources are still reporting of the mess this tank is. Reminds me of the
ARJUN MBT. Plus, the Russian economy is just a "
train wreck" right now made worse by out tariffs.

For Ukraine seems like the
M-55S, AMX-10 RC(R), OPLOT and OPLOT-M (With none listed in any category.) are the main winners so far. And yes,
both OPLOT versions have been
confirmed to operating on the battlefield of which a couple of articles I've already posted on that matter are in here-somewhere.
The ref also gives us a
clearer picture of what's in the field both from the Ukraine and from Foreign donated equipment.
