Thank you all for your input on this thread.

Actually, I have gotten the display in the lower left of my screen to show the distance to target as range: x. What I truly am looking for is what Phoneix D referred to when he stated:

"If it works correctly (it almost always does for me) you give an order, and the ship displays a line to the destination. Each square is marked by a number, which represents the number of turns required to get to that spot."

And, I can not find out how to get this information to display. Additional Posts after this post by Phoenix D suggest others have but it is intermittent, yet I have never been able to get mine to display. My system is set to 1024 x 768 but it doesn't show anything additional at this resolution over 480 x 680...
