Kudos to Cheeze for a well fought game. I went with the traditional clone setup, he had the guts to do something different. Our Galaxy was split in two roughly equal parts with one single warp-point connecting them (+ a backdoor through a black hole system), with both of us having our home-planet just one system away (from the warp-point). I was lucky and won the first battles for that warp-point and managed to establish myself within his part of the galaxy. Learned a lot from this game, especially those final battles (thanks Cheeze
).
Looking forward to my next game as well.
